Our Fourth Winner and Today's Topic
Posted by Eric Rampson on 18 Jan 2012

More technical difficulties yesterday but we're back with the fifth and FINAL day of our Silver Bullet TPB Giveaway contest. Before we get to today's topic, though, let's see who won Monday's copy - it was Tom Lewendowski and here is his answer to the question, "If you could use all the ingredients at The Burrito Burro (the Silver Bullet's favorite Mexican joint), what dish would you create and what would you call it?"

Lots of Eggs, Chorizo Sausage, Refried Beans, spicy sauce, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes made into 2 soft shell tacos(must be 2), then each cooked inside an omlette.  The name "Las manos huevos picantes." (the spicy egg hands).

Tom's idea actually got the Silver Bullet off the LRC HQ couch and into the LRC HQ Kitchen. The last we saw of him, he was double-fisting Spicy Egg Hands and shouting about "the inherent superiority of egg as a salsa delivery system!"

So, here we are at the final topic. This is you LAST CHANCE to win a Silver Bullet Vol. 1 TPB, so send us an email a.s.a.p.!

TODAY'S TOPIC: You have a time-machine and a couple of thousand dollars to burn - what historical figure do you pick up and where do you go to blow all your cash?

Winner Number Three and Today's Topic!
Posted by Eric Rampson on 16 Jan 2012

Friday's winner was Kyle Schwingendorf. Here's his answer to Friday's question, "What's cooler, bullets or cats?"

Bullets vs. Cats which one is cooler.

This is a hard comparison, bullets are sleek, graceful, deadly and powerful. Depending on the breed of cat, they can have all of those qualities of a bullet. If you go for large cats, Battle Cat is green and has awesome armor. Cats can cuddle and look great as a companion next to you. BUT, bullets look great as an accessory - look at Chewbacca, Barb Wire, and Tank Girl. I guess "say hello to my little friends!" bullets win.

The Silver Bullet himself had this to say about Kyle's answer - "Damn straight!" Then he tore up a picture of Half-Cat/Half-Man. Then he ate a whole bucket of porkchos and fell asleep on the couch here at LRC HQ. Even his snores are super-heroic.

Anyway, without further ado, here is today's topic. Rules are the same - send your response of 100-or-fewer words to eric@lonelyrobotcomics.com by 5pm CST today.

Today's Topic: If you could use all the ingredients at The Burrito Burro (the Silver Bullet's favorite Mexican joint), what dish would you create and what would you call it?

Winner Number Two and Today's Topic
Posted by Eric Rampson on 14 Jan 2012

Our second Silver Bullet Trade Paperback Winner is Alexis Niekamp. Her answer to yesterday's question, "If you were a supervillain, what would be your clever name and power combo?" was:

One of the most useful abilities for a supervillain would be the ability to cloud someone's perceptions so they wouldn’t remember having ever met or seen me aside from a slight nagging feeling of knowing they have forgotten something. Also the effect would not be permanent, there would be a way to break free of my power but of course I will not bake a badguy mistake and tell you, though you may recollect the meeting if shown a video or photo of me later or even if you pass me in the street. Naturally, my moniker would be Deja Vu.

Congrats, Alexis!

And, if you remember, due to technical difficulties yesterday, we weren't able to post the answer our first winner, Lorena Ponce, provided to our first question, "What's the coolest superpower?" Well, those difficulties have been punched in the nose and have run home to their mommy, so here's Lorena's answer:

The coolest super power would not be to have super-strength, telekinesis, invisibility, or even the ability to fly. The coolest super power would be "Being the Rampson." (The beard just enhances the strength of how awesome Rampson is.)

Rampson can write correct grammar in a heartbeat. Sometimes we think faster than we speak so there's confusion and silence between audience and speaker, but with Rampson-power there wouldn't be time for the menacing, awkward silence to creep in. Rampson can think up appropriate speech with no aid.

That's why having the power of Rampson is the coolest superpower anyone can have!

And now for...
